I heard an interesting point of view on a radio talk show this morning, and I'd like to pass it along.
This older fellow, a WW II vet, was expounding his feelings toward those demonstrators who show a marked disdain for the serving military. He likened these people to parasites, saying that they lived off of the blood provided by the patriots in our armed forces - enjoying the freedoms provided by the Constitution, yet doing everything in their power to denigrate and demoralize the same military that ensures the application of those very freedoms.
He said that those people out there who are against the war, yet have curbed their participation in anti-war demonstrations in support of, and respect for the armed forces desrve our respect.
The remaining, active protesters are becoming more isolated and irrevolent in their actions. Nothing but parasites!
I must agree, that's what they are - parasites.
