Parasites?

Search
I heard an interesting point of view on a radio talk show this morning, and I'd like to pass it along.
This older fellow, a WW II vet, was expounding his feelings toward those demonstrators who show a marked disdain for the serving military. He likened these people to parasites, saying that they lived off of the blood provided by the patriots in our armed forces - enjoying the freedoms provided by the Constitution, yet doing everything in their power to denigrate and demoralize the same military that ensures the application of those very freedoms.
He said that those people out there who are against the war, yet have curbed their participation in anti-war demonstrations in support of, and respect for the armed forces desrve our respect.
The remaining, active protesters are becoming more isolated and irrevolent in their actions. Nothing but parasites!

I must agree, that's what they are - parasites.

I believe people have the right to protest, but what I find ludicrous is when those protests erupt in violence & they cause "war" in the streets. The same "war" and "violence" they are protesting about! I just refer to them as pussy's & idiots!

Best of luck no matter what side you are on!

proud to be a parasite.

at least i'm not doing anything illegal, nor am i killing civilians in the name of oil.

FF - of course we're not! We're there to kill as many Arabs as we can, preferably civilians! We hate the peace-loving Saddam Hussein! He was making mustard, not mustard GAS!!!

are you in love with the old man ?

This is one of the most socialist states in the USA and it's been a terribly failed socialist experiment. The people are waking up. Even left wing Califorians are ready to run Davis out of office.

does anybody with a brain think that this is the cheapest, most expeditious manner of getting iraqi oil?........c`mon guys........what is iraq, the 9th leading supplier of u.s. oil?..let`s invade venezuela if that`s the case....a total straw man...

What an "original" idea. I thought it was participating in democracy!

I don't begrudge the World War II vet, because in his old age he probably believes that every war America fights is as noble as the one he fought in.

For those you here that believe this war has nothing at all to do with oil, let me ask this: If Iraq produced corns and potatoes than oil, would anyone in Bush's cabinet or think tank seriously suggest invading Iraq? Not to mention that Iraq is where the black gold is THE cheapest and plentiful. And Fat Frank, since you like to quote former Presidents, let me quote Dwight D. Eishenhower. Did you know that in 1953 Eisenhower stated that "preventive war" was invented by Adolf Hitler? He said: "...frankly, I wouldn't even listen to anyone seriously that came in and talked about such a thing". Let me just also mention that war propaganda is not that difficult as one of Hitler's top officials said. All you have to do is instill fear into your public that they will be attacked anytime soon by a foreign country and link an image of unpatriotism to the ones that protest the war. Soon you'll have many on the bandwagon for war.

There are a hell of a lot of whacko brutal dictators in the world who kill their own people.Right now we are going after only one,the one with the oil.
